Parents! STOP the Threat of
Cyber Bullying and Internet Predators!

Cyber bullying and internet predators endanger children. Our Internet safety tips for kids and educational games teach cyber safety. GamesAtGrandmas.com provides a fun, safe, online game site for children to play, learn, and earn “moola” for safe online prize auctions.

The internet is amazing! You can use it to keep in touch with family and friends, get homework help, shop online, and enjoy countless entertainment options. But the same technology that makes it so easy to do those things also puts your children in danger of potential exposure to pornographic material, cyberbullying and internet predators.

We all want our kids and teens to have fun, but we’re also very concerned about their safety. So how do we protect our kids? And where can your kids go online that is both SAFE and FUN?

The statistics from the FBI are frightening:

“Six out of 10 kids online have gotten an
e-mail or instant message from a perfect stranger ... and more than half have written back. One in 33 kids has been aggressively solicited to meet their ‘cyber friend’ in person. One in four kids, ages 10-17, has been exposed to unwanted sexual material online.”

GamesAtGrandmas.com has partnered with the Children’s Educational Network™ to bring your family a fun, totally safe web site for kids to play games online. Much like the peace of mind you have when the kids are visiting their grandparents, you know that your kids are safe when they play on GamesAtGrandmas.com.

All of our games are FREE, educational, and good, clean fun. Kids earn “TUKI Moola” playing educational games, and learn basic finance as they see the their virtual bank accounts grow. We also feature kid-friendly videos (similar format to the big video sites, but fully monitored and age-appropriate!), non-threatening lessons about internet safety, and special programs for teachers.

Upgrading to an inexpensive (monthly or annual) membership at GamesAtGrandmas.com grants access to additional content for your child, like a kid-safe e-mail account, and the ability for members to spend their "Moola" and bid in safe online auctions for terrific prizes (like movies, cash, and even game consoles!). The ability to save and spend their Moola adds to the fun as well as the educational benefit because it gives kids practical and "pain-free" experience with banking as they grasp the basics of debits and credits.

As an added bonus, paid membership to GamesAtGrandmas.com also includes a FREEdownload of award-winning parental control software, which consists of a Kid Safe Browser and parental filters that only allow children to view pre-approved, pre-screened, child-appropriate web sites. It comes with a fantastic cartoon interface and multiple themes to appeal to children ages 2-14 (such as Shrek™, Miss America™, and McGruff the Crime Dog™).

Simple Rules for Safe Internet Use...
Think of being a super hero!
Protect your identity!
Never share personal information without parental permission. This includes real name, address, phone number, e-mail, name/location of a school, photos or videos!
Avoid the bad guys!
Never agree to meet a "cyber friend" (someone only known from online)... People aren't always honest about who they are.
Limit potential exposure to cyber bullying and internet predators by only using safe online game sites, kid-safe e-mail accounts, and parental controls. Any chat or IM functions should be monitored.
Get backup to defeat the bad guys!
If you DO get a message that is mean or makes you feel uncomfortable, DON'T respond.
Instead, show a parent or other trusted adult (like a teacher) so they know what's going on and can help make it stop.
Keep your superpowers strong!
Don't spend too much time on the computer -- get outside and have some fun!
And always know you can talk with your parents and other trusted adults if you have questions or concerns about stuff online or in the real world.
