GamesAtGrandmas.com is the culmination of several months of a Mom and Grandma attempting to find safe internet sites for their most precious family members – three children who love playing games, especially online.

    So many times we thought we’d found a safe site, only to discover inappropriate advertising or unmonitored / unrestricted chat. While parental controls are very helpful, kids (especially tech-savvy tweens and teens!) can find ways around most rules, so we kept searching for safe sites.

    You can imagine our delight when we discovered the Children’s Educational Network™ (CEN), which focuses on protecting children on the internet. We have partnered with CEN to provide a safe and fun game site for your kids where they can play fun games that also teach internet safety and techniques for dealing with bullies – both on and off the internet. There are many educational games too – geography, math and music, to list a few.

    All of the games are free, but with a low-cost membership, the kids earn “moola” which goes into their virtual bank account and can be used to bid on real prizes (like movies and game consoles!) at the safe Club Tuki auction. What a great way for your children to comprehend basic finances which aren’t taught in school!
